Why a New Cellar Cooling System?

Maintaining the right temperature for our beverages isn't just about comfort; it's about quality and temperature control is crucial. The old system was struggling to keep up with the demands of the bar, and they knew it was time for an upgrade.

After finding a gas leak on the old system and its poor location the unit was doomed from the get go, because of the restrictions on the building itself due to its protected status this meant no external condensers could be mounted externally of the building.

So, a solution was devised to house the unit internally.

The Installation Process

The installation of the new cooling system was seamless, we ensured minimal disruption to the customer.

The Marstair outdoor condenser was placed inside the room, relying on air being removed via the fan on the left show in in the middle image, with the return "fresh air" grilles shown on the right. This resulted in fresh air being sucked back out so no air flow was happening inside the room.

The existing unit had poor airflow so any high ambient temperatures meant the unit could not cope, and struggled the majority of the time. The new condenser was installed onto the window to blow hot air straight outside.

We placed the outdoor condenser flush to the window so that the hot air can be blown straight outside with the ran sucking in fresh air. We also sprayed the unit black to reduce the visual impact.
